Choirs & singers

Ensemble Details Price
Soloist One trained singer performs up to three pieces and leads the congregation through all the hymns. In smaller chapels and crematoriums, a soloist sits close to the guests, and people often remark on how personal it feels. We match the singer’s voice type to your chosen repertoire. See our funeral music guide or wedding music guide for help choosing pieces. Less than most florists charge for ceremony flowers. One voice fills the room. From £215
Small Choir 4 singers Four singers in soprano, alto, tenor, and bass give you full harmony on hymns and up to three performance pieces. They fill a church seating 50 to 200 without overpowering the room. Guests who have never sung a hymn in their lives find themselves joining in. Four-part harmony is the most requested option for both church funerals and wedding ceremonies. From £1,150
Quintet 5 singers A second soprano rounds out the sound and opens up repertoire that a four-part group cannot cover. You hear stronger support on the melody line, and the congregation sings with more confidence. Up to three performance pieces plus all hymns. The additional singer costs around £250 more than a quartet and opens up repertoire the quartet cannot cover. From £1,400
Sextet 6 singers Six singers produce a far bigger sound than a quartet at a fraction of a full choir’s cost. Up to three performance pieces plus all hymns. A sextet fills a crematorium or mid-sized church with ease. From £1,600
Full Choir 8 singers Eight singers suit large churches and cathedrals where sound needs to reach the back rows. The choir can split into eight-part harmony for pieces like Stanford or Parry. Up to three performance pieces plus all hymns. At this size the choir can take on the majority of the standard choral repertoire without arrangement. From £2,000
Chorus 12 singers Twelve singers fill even the largest cathedrals and concert halls. They handle complex works that smaller groups cannot attempt, from Fauré’s Requiem excerpts to large-scale anthem arrangements. Up to four performance pieces plus all hymns. From £3,000
