Funeral singers and choirs in Liverpool

Liverpool is a city shaped by music — from the great cathedral choral tradition on St James’s Mount to the hymns sung in parish churches across Merseyside. Whether you are arranging a funeral, planning a wedding, or organising a memorial service, our conservatoire-trained singers and instrumentalists bring sensitivity, skill, and genuine warmth to every occasion in Liverpool and the surrounding boroughs of Wirral, Sefton, Knowsley, and St Helens.

Funeral music in Liverpool

When someone you love has died, the thought of choosing music for their funeral can feel like yet another burden at an already painful time. We understand, and we are here to make that part easier. Our singers perform at funerals and memorial services across Liverpool and Merseyside, bringing the same care and professionalism whether the service takes place in a grand cathedral or a small crematorium chapel. A single voice singing Ave Maria can bring a quiet stillness to a room, while a four-part choir lifting The Lord Is My Shepherd can carry a congregation through a moment that might otherwise feel impossible.

We regularly sing at Liverpool Cathedral (the Anglican cathedral on St James’s Mount), the Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King on Mount Pleasant, and at churches and chapels throughout the city and wider Merseyside. We also perform at Anfield Crematorium, Thornton Crematorium, and other crematoriums across the region. Every family is different, and there is no single right answer when it comes to choosing music. If you are unsure where to begin, our funeral music guide offers thoughtful suggestions for hymns, solos, and choral works that families often find comforting. You are also very welcome to telephone us for an informal conversation — there is never any pressure or obligation.

Wedding choirs and singers

Liverpool and Merseyside offer a wonderful range of wedding venues, from the breathtaking sandstone nave of Liverpool Cathedral to intimate Victorian churches in Woolton, Aigburth, and Crosby, and the elegant waterfront settings along the Pier Head. Live singing transforms a wedding ceremony in a way that recorded music simply cannot — a well-chosen hymn draws the whole congregation into the moment, and a beautifully sung solo during the signing of the register can hold the room in complete stillness. Our choirs and soloists perform at weddings of every size, denomination, and tradition, and we are always happy to learn a piece that holds special meaning for the couple. If you are still deciding on your music, our guide to choosing wedding hymns is a helpful place to start.

Ensembles and pricing

We offer everything from a single soloist to a full choir of twelve voices, and can pair singers with an organist, harpist, or string quartet. Each musician is personally selected from our roster of over 150 conservatoire-trained performers. Because every occasion is different, we encourage you to tell us a little about what you have in mind so we can suggest the right ensemble and provide an accurate quote. Full details of our standard packages are available on our pricing page.

“I had no idea where to start with the music — it all felt a bit overwhelming. She talked me through a few options and within ten minutes we had it sorted. Such a weight off my mind.”
