A hand-picked team from Britain’s leading conservatoires, auditioned by our Artistic Director.
One flat price, and a team chosen for your occasion.
From £250 for a soloist, all in. Travel within Greater London included.
Tell us the date, the venue, and the kind of occasion. Luca Wetherall, our Artistic Director, sends back music suggestions, recordings, and a quote — usually the same day. We handle repertoire, rehearsals, and logistics. You hear the music on the day.
Our singers carry the congregation through the hymns and perform solo and choral pieces between them. We perform in churches, crematoriums, and chapels across the UK. Most families reach us two to five days before the service.
Funeral music →Singers and instrumentalists for the processional, hymns, the register signing, and the recessional. We can carry on through the drinks reception and the wedding breakfast if you want music running across the whole day. We arrange any piece you want for your chosen ensemble.
Wedding music →Reflective, sacred, uplifting, personal — or all four. We shape the music around the person being remembered, in churches, halls, gardens, marquees, or wherever you’re gathering.
Talk to us about a memorial →Award ceremonies, gala dinners, commemorative services, product launches. We perform regularly for City livery companies, law firms, banks, charities, and schools across London and the UK.
Corporate music →Carol services, December receptions, and Christmas concerts. A full choir with organist for a traditional service, or a small choir for a drinks reception — Luca will recommend the right size for your venue.
Christmas music →Roaming carol singers for office parties, hotel lobbies, switch-ons, and residents’ evenings. Fully a cappella, so no stage, power, or sound system is needed — the singers work whatever space you have.
Hire carol singers →Every booking includes one to three performance pieces and leading the congregation in all of the hymns. The chorus performs up to four pieces.
One trained singer, suited to smaller chapels and crematoriums where the voice sits close to the congregation.
Soprano, alto, tenor, and bass in four-part harmony. Fills a church seating 50 to 200 without overpowering the room.
A second soprano makes a real difference to the sound and opens up the repertoire. Helps lead the congregation more confidently.
Six voices produce a bigger sound than a quartet at a price well below a full choir. Suits mid-to-large churches.
Eight voices carry to the back of a large church or cathedral and split into eight-part harmony for Stanford or Parry.
Twelve voices fill a cathedral and handle complex works that smaller groups cannot attempt, from Fauré to large-scale anthems.
Pianists, organists, harpists, and string quartets perform alongside our singers or on their own. We match the instrumentation to your venue, your repertoire, and whether the music is sacred, classical, or contemporary.
We are based in London and perform across the United Kingdom. Our singers travel to venues in London, Oxford, Cambridge, Birmingham, Manchester, Brighton, Bath, Winchester, and beyond. See all the areas we serve.
We perform in parish churches, cathedrals, crematoriums, chapels, synagogues, hotels, private homes, gardens, marquees, concert halls, and outdoor spaces. If your venue has specific acoustic or logistical needs, Luca will advise on the right ensemble size and setup.
We provide live music for funerals, weddings, memorials, celebrations of life, corporate events, and ceremonies of all kinds across the United Kingdom. That includes religious services, civil ceremonies, humanist celebrations, and private gatherings. If your occasion does not fit a standard category, get in touch. We have performed at naming ceremonies, anniversary services, charity galas, and school events.
We offer a soloist (single voice), quartet (4 singers), quintet (5 singers), sextet (6 singers), full choir (8 singers), and chorus (12 singers). We also provide organists, pianists, harpists, and string quartets. The right ensemble depends on your venue size, your budget, and the sound you want. A soloist suits an intimate crematorium chapel. A full choir fills a large parish church. Luca will recommend the best option when you get in touch.
Most enquiries get a reply from Luca within 48 hours, often the same day. We have arranged singers at a few hours’ notice when families had no other option. If your service is in the next 48 hours, call us on 07356 042468 — email may not be fast enough.
Our repertoire spans classical, sacred, and contemporary music. If there is a piece you want to hear, whether it is a Bach chorale, a folk song, or a pop ballad, we can arrange it for your chosen ensemble. Luca will quote for the arrangement up front, and send you a recording of it before the day so you can hear how it sounds. The only limitation is copyright: some publishers restrict live performance of certain works, but this affects very few pieces.
The London Choral Service is the trading name of Alma Consort Ltd, and that is the company name you will see on your booking confirmation and invoice.
