For funeral directors
Professional singers, without the admin

When a family asks for live music at the service, we make it the easiest part of your week. One number to call, one person to deal with, and a written running order in your inbox before the day.

We work with funeral directors across the United Kingdom every week. Same-day quotes, 48-hour turnaround on most bookings, and a singer ready for the service even when you call on Friday for a Monday funeral.

How we work with funeral directors

You call or email with the basics: family name, date, venue, the rough size of the service. Luca Wetherall, our Artistic Director, calls the family back within the hour and takes the music conversation off your hands entirely. The family gets the time and care of a music specialist; you get to focus on everything else.

For most bookings we can confirm a singer or quartet within 48 hours. A soloist within 24 hours is usually possible. The earlier you call, the more options we can offer the family on choir size and repertoire. But last-minute is what we do, and we do it without panic.

We work in every kind of venue: parish churches, cathedrals, crematorium chapels, woodland burial grounds, synagogues, mosque halls, and the family home. Our singers know the protocols of Westminster Abbey and the acoustics of a Co-op Funeralcare chapel in Croydon equally well.

What the family receives

One direct conversation with Luca, who has worked on more than a thousand funerals. He listens to what the family wants and suggests the music himself, drawing on twenty years of experience. Families who arrive saying “we have no idea where to begin” leave the call with a clear plan.

A written running order goes to you and the family at least 48 hours before the service. It lists every piece, every position in the service, who is singing or playing it, and how long it lasts. The officiant gets a copy. Nothing is improvised on the day.

On the day, our singers arrive 45 minutes early. They rehearse in the venue, settle the acoustics, and introduce themselves to your team and the officiant. They lead the congregation through the hymns with confidence, perform the choral or solo pieces with care, and stay until the last mourner has left if the family wants reflective music as people depart.

“Luca rang us back within an hour and talked us through everything with such kindness. The singers were wonderful — they gave Mum the send-off she deserved.”

The logistics we handle so you don’t have to

We coordinate directly with the officiant on hymn keys and tempo, register choir presence with the venue, organise our own access and rehearsal time, bring our own copies of the music, and supply printed orders of service with hymn texts if the family wants them. We park ourselves, set ourselves up, and tidy ourselves away.

If the venue has its own organist, we coordinate the keys and registration with them in advance. If it doesn’t, we bring our own. For crematorium services on tight 30-minute slots, we plan exactly what fits and what doesn’t, so the curate isn’t cutting verses on the day.

Travel across the UK is built into the quote upfront. There are no expense claims after the fact, no last-minute “and the parking was…” emails.

What it costs the family

Transparent, published pricing. The family pays us directly. We send the invoice to whomever you nominate, with payment terms of 14 days from the service. We can invoice the funeral home if you prefer to absorb the cost into your own bill — just tell us at the booking.

Frequently asked questions

How much notice do you need?

We can usually arrange a singer or choir within 48 hours, and a soloist within 24 hours when the diary allows. The earlier you call, the more options we can offer. But late notice is normal for funerals, and our roster of more than 150 singers means there is almost always someone available, somewhere in the country.

What does the family see from us?

A direct call from Luca Wetherall, our Artistic Director, who guides the family through music choices and sends a written running order. The family deals with one person, not a roster. They will tell you afterwards that the music conversation was one of the easier parts of arranging the service.

Do you cover the whole UK?

Yes. London is our base, and we travel for services across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Travel is quoted upfront and included in the family’s written quote. We have singers based outside London too, which keeps travel costs down for services in the north and west.

How do you invoice?

The family pays us directly. We send the invoice to whomever you nominate, with payment terms of 14 days from the service. We can invoice the funeral home if you prefer to absorb the cost into your own bill — just tell us at the booking.
