How it works

What we provide

Luca Wetherall, our Artistic Director, plans the music with you from your first call. Some couples arrive with a full shortlist — Zadok for the processional, Ave Maria for the register, the Widor Toccata on the way out. Others have no idea where to start. Both are fine. Luca sends you recordings of the pieces on the table and you narrow it down from there.

Our repertoire covers classical, sacred, and contemporary music. If you want a Bach chorale, we play it. If you want A Thousand Years sung by four voices, we arrange it. We're happy to do bespoke arrangements, but this may result in an extra charge depending on the specific requirements.

Our singers and instrumentalists cover the processional, hymns, register signing, and recessional. We can carry on through the drinks reception and the wedding breakfast if you want music running across the whole day.

You receive a confirmed running order a week before the wedding. On the day, musicians arrive an hour before the ceremony to set up and coordinate with your planner or venue manager. Book early to secure your date, though we do take late bookings when we can.

We sing in churches, hotels, country houses, and registry offices across the UK — most often in London, Oxford, and Manchester, but we travel further when the booking warrants it.

If you are marrying outside the UK, or planning the ceremony with a planner or venue team, our performing ensemble Alma Consort takes on private and international engagements.

Be Thou My Vision — Full Choir

An eighth-century Irish text sung to the folk melody Slane. One of the most popular choices for wedding ceremonies.

Ubi Caritas — Full Choir, Ola Gjeilo

A Latin antiphon whose subject is love itself — “where charity and love are, God is there.” Sung unaccompanied, and about three minutes long, which covers the signing of the register. Why it suits a wedding.

Anima Christi — Marco Frisina

The Latin prayer Catholic couples ask for most at the Communion of a Nuptial Mass, sung here by a quintet with one soprano on the melody. A soloist and organist carry it equally well. More in our guide to Anima Christi at a Catholic wedding.

Pricing

Flat prices. No hidden fees. The price you’re quoted covers the full booking, including a personal consultation, repertoire planning, and coordination with your venue.

A small choir of four singers starts from £1,150; a quintet £1,400; a sextet £1,600; full choirs from £2,000. All ensemble sizes include preparation, travel within London, and a music director on the day.

Wedding music questions

When in the ceremony does the choir sing?

A choir can sing as guests arrive, during the processional, at the signing of the register, and for the recessional, as well as leading the hymns. The signing of the register is the moment couples most often want a standout piece, since it fills two or three minutes that would otherwise be silent.

Can you perform a song that isn't a traditional hymn?

Yes. Alongside hymns and classical repertoire, we arrange pop songs, musical-theatre numbers, and folk pieces for our voices. If a song means something to you, send it over and we will tell you how it works for the ensemble you have in mind.

Do you sing with our church's organist, or bring your own?

Either. Where a church has its own organist we sing with them; where it does not, or theirs is unavailable, we bring an organist who has played that instrument. Adding an organist to a choir is £225.

How many singers do we need for our venue?

Four voices fill most parish churches and give you full harmony; six or eight suit a cathedral or a long guest list. We advise once we know the building and the numbers. Our wedding choir guide walks through the options.
